The Henrico EDA would like to extend our congratulations to the eight Henrico projects and transactions that garnered recognition at the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate awards held on November 5, 2020. Now in its 19th year, the ceremony honors exceptional commercial real estate projects and transactions throughout the entire Richmond region.
Henrico project and transaction winners include:
- Top Adaptive Reuse Project: Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc. occupied the former Southern Season space at the Libbie Mill-Midtown mixed-use community, and converted it into its corporate headquarters.
- Top Industrial Project: Polykon Manufacturing LLC, a France-based maker of cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients, built a $60 million ground-up advanced manufacturing plant at White Oak Technology Park.
- Top Entertainment Project: Global sports entertainment company Topgolf opened a 55,000-square-foot complex in Henrico’s bustling Westwood area. The facility offers driving ranges, a restaurant and bar area, outdoor terraces, and a 14-hole mini golf course.
- Top Land Sale: Specialty insurer Kinsale Capital Group Inc. paid $2.5 million for a 5.6-acre tract to build its five-story corporate headquarters building.
- Top Retail Lease: NOVA of Virginia Aquatics will operate a new swimming facility within the revitalized Regency Square mall under a 20-year lease. The center will offer two 25-yard pools and an Olympic-size 50-meter pool.
- Top Office Transaction: Deep Run III, a portion of the former Circuit City Stores Inc. corporate headquarters complex, was purchased by an affiliate of the Massachusetts-based holding company RMR Group for $56 million.
- Top Retail Transaction: The Colonnades West shopping center was bought by Quebec-based Colterra Capital Corp. for $21.76 million.
- Top Office Lease: Atlantic Union Bank leased a three-story building in Innsbrook.
We are thrilled that these companies have chosen to invest in our area, and that they have joined the 25,000 businesses and four Fortune 1000 company headquarters that call Henrico their home.
