HENRICO, VIRGINIA—September 27, 2021—The Sandston, Virginia, Coca-Cola Consolidated production and distribution facility is expanding its footprint.

Coca-Cola Consolidated plans to invest $23 million in new equipment and production capabilities, creating more than 40 jobs with competitive pay and benefits.

“We’re excited to continue our journey of growth in Henrico County. Our investment in expanding our production capabilities is a long-term commitment to serving the world’s best brands and flavors to our local customers and communities,” said John Eady, Sandston Plant Manager.

Construction began in Spring 2021 and operations continued throughout the expansion process. Plans include adding a blow-mold line for bottle production, allowing for more efficient production with a lower environmental impact.

“We are proud of the growth of the food and beverage industry in Henrico County and excited that Coca- Cola Consolidated is part of that growth,” said member of the Henrico County Board of Supervisors Reverend Tyrone E. Nelson. “Henrico’s skilled workforce and mid-Atlantic location support efficient production and transport of goods to meet the burgeoning demand of companies like Coca-Cola Consolidated. We wish them much success on this important expansion.“
